Contraforte quarter-tone fingering chart | Free PDF Download

These are my suggestions, and they work for me, but they may need adjusting when played by another player. Essentially, this chart is a building block. I use voicings–hee and me to lift the pitch and who to lower the pitch–when I play to aid in the intonation. I would recommend that as well. I first developed this chart when playing pieces by the composer Georg Friedrich Haas. I still find that I add an auxiliary key ( Bb or the keys operated by the little finger of the left hand ) depending on the type of reed I use to ensure that the quarter-tone blends in timbre with the standard notes. See also the fingering chart for eighth-tones, as I included some different fingerings for quarter-tones.
